This Model L Steinway & Sons grand piano in the classic ebony satin (matte) finish was originally manufactured in 1964 and just restored completely by Steinway.

The Model L made its entrance to Steinway’s offering of pianos in 1923 with a redesigned case, cast-iron plate, and scale as compared to the Model O. Like its predecessor in size, the Living Room grand gained popularity not only for use in the home and smaller recital spaces, but also as a practice instrument in music conservatories and schools. Production of the Model L ceased in 2005 with the reintroduction of the Steinway Model O, a New model also currently available at Turner’s Keyboards (more info here).

At 5′ 10-1/2” (approx. 180 cm), the Model L Living Room Grand piano is the largest of Steinway’s “small grands.” This piano is large enough to satisfy those who demand a full, rich sound, yet sized to fit in almost any home.
