Cultural Series: Gershwin on Broadway

Etherredge Center 471 University Parkway, Aiken

The Etherredge Center is putting on a wonderful show!  George Gershwin, a longtime favorite composer, is celebrated with energy and passion. To accompany his music, baritone Robert Sims and lovely soprano Louise Toppin will make use of a sparkling vocal program to enhance some of Gershwin's most famous works. "Fascinatin' Rhythm," "Lady Be Good," and "Strike Up the Band" will make an appearance in this thrilling event!   The Youth Concerto Competition invites students aged 10 to 18, enrolled in grades 5th through 12th and residing in Georgia or South Carolina, to showcase their musical talents on orchestral instruments such as strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and piano!
