This concert will feature the debut of USCA’s new 9′ Steinway D Grand Piano on center stage! South African pianist, Petronel Malan, maintains a full performance schedule as recitalist, orchestral soloist, and chamber musician in major venues throughout the world. Career highlights have included Carnegie Recital Hall, Salle Cortot (Paris), Mozarteum (Salzburg), Liszt Museum (Budapest), Orchestra Hall (Chicago), as well as appearances at both Ravinia and Gilmore International Piano Festivals. She has appeared with such orchestras as the St. Petersburg State Academy, Sicilian Chamber, Fort Collins, Elgin and Bellevue Symphonies and the Cape Town and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestras. Petronel Malan takes the Winter Nocturne stage to present a program that begins with a tribute to Mozart, whose 261st birthday will be celebrated two days from this concert.
