Turner’s Keyboards is pleased to host an exciting event on Sunday, Nov. 10th at the Augusta Museum of History: a documentary film screening of “Note by Note: The Making of Steinway L1037.”  The film is 81 min long, tracing the making of a Steinway concert grand from forest floor to concert hall. There will be two screenings: 2:30 Matinee and 6:00 Evening (same program at both). The film’s producer and director, Ben Niles of Plow Productions, will be with us for Q&A.  The “star of the show,” Steinway L1037 will be on exhibition as well.  On loan from NY, this Model D Concert Grand is the actual piano that was crafted in the film!  Local pianist Thomas Lloyd, 1st place winner of the 2019 Steinway Junior Piano Competition in Augusta, will play 2-3 pieces on the piano to conclude this evening of inspiration.  Then you will have the opportunity to gather around and even play this priceless piano, if you wish!

RSVP required; seating is limited to 100 per screening.
