Join us for “An Evening with the Artist” on Friday, March 27, from 6:30-7:30 pm at Turner’s Keyboards of Augusta, GA.  Leonardo Colafelice will join us for a warm and relaxed conversation about music, performance, recording, and his life as a professional pianist.

2020 Winner of the Bronze Medal and Audience Favorite Award at the Gurwitz International Piano Competition.

“I am very excited to hear such a fabulous pianist and musician. Thanks for your Music!” -Martha Argerich, 2013

“The young Leonardo Colafelice that I heard tonight impressed me for his qualities as a virtuoso of the keyboard. At only 12 years old he is able to deal dangerous reputed technical difficulties with a confounding simplicity. It goes without saying that an element such as Leonardo Colafelice is a born pianist and destined to a brilliant career.” -Aldo Ciccolini, 2008

At our “Evening with the Artist”, Mr. Colafelice will discuss his musical background and what it’s like to be a professional, concertizing pianist.  He will also provide insight into the selection of repertoire that he will have performed at Augusta University the previous evening.  Though Friday’s event will not be a recital per se, it will be an enjoyable, informal evening for music lovers of all ages!  The musical conversation will be 1-hour long, concluding with light refreshments and a time to meet Leonardo personally.  CD’s will be available for purchase and signing by the artist.

Please call (706) 736-4479 or EMAIL Eric Campbell to reserve your seat.  “An Evening with the Artist” at Turner’s Keyboards is FREE and open to the public.  The favor of a reply by Thursday, March 26, is most appreciated so we may plan accordingly.

PS: Plan to attend Leonardo’s concert the night before our Evening with the Artist!  Mr. Colafelice will be performing on Thursday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. as a part of the Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Series at the Maxwell Theater. We hope you can attend BOTH events… THURSDAY at the Maxwell and FRIDAY at Turner’s!
