Join us for “An Evening with the Artist” on Monday, January 27, from 6:30-7:30 pm at Turner’s Keyboards of Augusta, GA.  Andreas Klein will join us for a warm and relaxed conversation about music, performance, recording, and his life as a professional pianist.

ANDREAS KLEIN

A Steinway Solo Artist, Mr. Klein is widely admired as a pianist of rare sensitivity and musicality. The Washington Post has praised his “articulate and flowing pianism” while the New York Times called him “a pianist who makes silences sound like music.”  Read more about Andreas Klein here.

MONDAY: “AN EVENING WITH THE ARTIST”

At our “Evening with the Artist”, Klein will discuss his musical background and what it’s like to be a Steinway Artist and professional, concertizing pianist.  He will also discuss the selection of repertoire that will be played at his performance at Augusta University the following evening.  Though Monday’s event will not be a recital per se, it will be an enjoyable, informal evening for music lovers of all ages!  The event will be 1-hour long, concluding with light refreshments and a time to meet Mr. Klein personally.  CD’s will be available for purchase and signing by the artist.

HOW TO RSVP

Please call (706) 736-4479 or EMAIL to reserve your seat.  “An Evening with the Artist” at Turner’s Keyboards is FREE and open to the public.  The favor of a reply by 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 27, is most appreciated so we may plan accordingly.

Tuesday’s Concert

Mr. Klein will be performing a chamber music concert with the Minguet Quartett as a part of the Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Series on Tuesday at the Maxwell Theater, so this informal evening event at Turner’s on Monday will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know the artist before hearing him perform at AU on Tuesday!  We hope you can attend both events!
