FAQ

Q: Do all of your pianos come with a warranty  or just the new ones?
A: Every piano from Turner’s comes with a warranty that covers parts & labor. A warranty is a must on a piano as it has 10,000 parts and 88 keys. In our 54 years in Augusta, we have had many customers who have purchased pianos from individuals and have spent more on repair and maintenance than they did on their piano! Buy from Turner’s and have a peace of mind!

Q: How does your 100% lifetime trade-up policy work?
A: You would be surprised at the number of folks that buy a piano and eventually upgrade to a grand piano as they or their child progresses with their music. Since 1955, Turner’s has allowed 100% of the original purchase price of their piano towards any piano on our floor. A good piano does not lose its value, and Turner’s guarantee is proof!

Q: I have a piano I would like to sell. Can you tell me how much I should ask for it?
A: We cannot appraise pianos over the phone or by e-mail. Without being able to inspect the piano, any guess at its value is pointless. It may look and even sound good to your ears, but after it is moved cracks and other defects often occur, which is one of the reasons we have 3 very busy staff technicians at Turner’s. An internal inspection by a piano technician is an absolute must if you are considering purchasing a non-warranteed instrument from a private seller. Contact Ed Turner at 706-736-4479 or by e-mail at email us to schedule an appraisal today.

Q: How often should my piano be tuned?
A: Regular tuning is to a piano what regular exercise is to our bodies. Most pianos need to be tuned at least twice a year. Contact Samantha Ochoa at 706-736-4479 or by e-mail at email us to schedule an appointment today.

Q: How soon after delivery should my piano be tuned?
A: After a move or delivery, a piano should be allowed 2-4 weeks to re-settle and acclimate to its new surroundings before re-tuning. We suggest that you schedule your first tuning approximately 2-3 weeks after delivery. Contact Samantha Ochoa at 706-736-4479 or by e-mail at email us and we’ll handle everything!
